this story is obviously about Balto, a real Alaskan sled dog who saved many dying children of Nome, Alaska in the winter of 1925. In the movie, Balto is an outkast wolfdog who isn't liked by anyone. He has a crush on Jenna, a popular and beautiful Siberian husky. He is bullied around by the other dogs because of his heritage. Balto only has 3 true friends, 2 polar bear cubs named Muk and Luk, and Boris, a Russian Snow Goose. Balto doesn't think anything of himself until an epidemic of diptheria spreads through Nome during a terrible snowstorm, and it is almost impossible to get the medicine through to the dying children. When the sled dog team gets lost in a snow storm, Balto comes to the rescue and finds the way home, while also discovering his heritage and discovering that he is a true hero. He is praised and rewarded for his good work, and he and Jenna fall in love.
